Have your own private exclusive ‘wedding village’ (borgo) surrounded by family and friends amongst the famous vineyards of Chianti. Your wedding falls within grape harvest time and just when the leaves are starting to adopt their autumn colours, so a beautiful time of year for your guests to laze by the pool, visit the local towns, do some wine tasting (maybe help with the harvest!) and try your hand at pizza making! Completely immersed in a natural environment, surrounded by olive trees, and its own vineyards, this lovely old farm, with its wonderful swimming pool, is in the heart of the Chianti Classico, just 15 kms outside Florence. Set atop a hill, there are panoramic views of immense beauty.
The farm is made up of a little borgo, or village, of ancient farmhouses, and dates back to the Renaissance period of the mid 1400’s. A real sense of history prevails here, and it’s the perfect spot for a wonderful wedding, ideal for groups of up to 50 but can cater for wedding up to 120.
Up to 30 guests can be housed in the simple rustic apartments, with another 16 using sofa beds, and there is extra accommodation very nearby for extra guests. The apartments retain original features such as exposed stone, wooden beams, terra cotta floors and steep staircases, combined with modern comforts. Civil weddings can be held in a nearby Tuscan village, while Catholic religious weddings can, uniquely, be held in the open air courtyard at the farm. Symbolic weddings can be held in any one of a number of enchanting points on the farm. Whichever you choose you can be sure of a very special day and a memory to cherish.
We can arrange al fresco dining and dancing on the wedding day, as well as pre wedding welcome dinners and farewell brunches. After dinner dancing can continue under the stars until around midnight, but its also possible to dance until the early hours in the taverna.
As well as Florence, the farm is within easy reach of Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra. There is plenty to do and see in the area, including horse riding, mountain biking, walking among the olive groves and orchards, while there is golf and tennis within easy reach. You and your guests can explore the many enchanting villages and wine cantinas in the surrounding countryside, returning home for a relaxing dinner in your very own medieval Tuscan borgo.
